The New Collections
Your guide to the upcoming Fashion Week Season
High fashion season is officially underway, and the Fall 2026 collections are beginning to take shape. From the men’s collections in Milan and Paris to couture and the global ready-to-wear circuit in February, the next two months will define the aesthetics and the direction of fashion for the year ahead.
Menswear shows in Milan and Paris are already setting the tone, with couture beginning today. From there, the fashion calendar moves through Copenhagen, New York, London, Milan, and Paris, bringing a mix of creative reinvention, legacy brands, and pop-culture crossover moments.
While the industry looks ahead to Fall 2026 / 2027, Spring 2026 Haute Couture serves as a critical counterpoint, with a focus on craftsmanship and creative intent at the highest level. This season is marked by a profound generational shift. The recent passing of Giorgio Armani and Valentino Garavani signals the end of an era defined by elegance and an uncompromising commitment to craft. Their influence shaped not only couture, but the very language of modern luxury fashion.
It is also a season of debuts, as the industry eagerly awaiting couture collections from two very important houses. Jonathan Anderson’s first couture collection for Dior will be closely watched as an early indication of how his conceptual, culture-driven approach translates into Dior’s couture codes. At Chanel, Matthieu Blazy’s debut marks a pivotal moment, offering insight into how one of fashion’s most storied houses may evolve while remaining anchored in its heritage.
Podcast Recommendation: Jonathan Anderson interviewed about Dior Couture on The Business of Fashion podcast.

Copenhagen Fashion Week has carved out a distinct place on the global calendar, not by competing with the big four, but by championing sustainability, craftsmanship, and a Nordic design ethos that shapes how fashion is actually worn. As influential on instagram as it is on the runway, Copenhagen’s street style plays a pivotal role in translating runway ideas into real trends with immediate impact.
What truly sets the week apart is its commitment to sustainability. With environmental requirements for participating brands, Copenhagen has transformed responsibility into a creative catalyst rather than a constraint. Copenhagen champions purposeful design, blending minimalism with functional edge, and proving that fashion can be stylish and environmentally responsible at the same time.
My Favourites showcasing at Copenhagen Fashion Week:
Filippa K: Known for their impeccable Scandinavian minimalism, Filippa K defines modern wardrobe dressing through precise tailoring, elevated basics, and a focus on longevity over trend.
Samsøe Samsøe: A masterclass in everyday cool, blending relaxed tailoring and wardrobe staples with subtle edge.
Ganni: A popular brand known for their playful and confident design, infusing bright colours, prints, and personality into Scandinavian fashion.
MKDT Studio: Quietly luxurious and impeccably cut, championing refined tailoring and rich materials. It’s always one of my favourite shows to watch.
Opéra Sport: Fusing performance influences with polished design, Opéra Sport explores functionality, movement, and modern femininity.
Skall Studio: Designed by the Skall sisters, the collections are rooted in natural materials and thoughtful craftsmanship, offering a softer, organic take on Scandinavian dressing.
Stine Goya: Known for her use of bold colour and expressive prints, Stine Goya brings artistic joy and visual optimism to Copenhagen’s often minimalist landscape.
As the season unfolds, the spotlight turns to the four fashion capitals: New York, London, Milan, and Paris. New York brings energy and streetwise immediacy, London pushes creativity and conceptual storytelling, Milan balances heritage with luxurious precision, and Paris delivers refinement, spectacle, and couture-inflected innovation.
It promises to be a season where ideas, aesthetics, and attitude converge shaping not only what we wear, but how we experience fashion in the year ahead. Thank you for reading Style Calling. I’m glad you’re here. Stay tuned! This is only the beginning.
